As principal consultant to Erie County, the Regional Institute is assessing alternatives to Erie County’s current incarceration programs and criminal justice system practices. The effort seeks to identify factors that lead to overcrowding, devise solutions for strengthening alternative programs, and pinpoint target groups for inmate population reduction measures at the Erie County Holding Center.
