Regional Institute to Present Findings of Survey of Farms - March 5, 2009

Over the past several months, the Regional Institute visited 45 farms in the towns of Brant, Eden, Evans and North Collins to assess existing agritourism resources and potential for expansion. On March 5, 2009, the Regional Institute will present survey findings and review opportunities for growing agritourism in the Southtowns at a public forum in Eden (Eden Town Hall, 2795 East Chruch Street, 6 pm - 8 pm). The forum is open to the public and will feature audience discussion with farm operators, agricultural leaders, community representatives, tourism leaders and elected officials.
